Obituary

Mrs. Willie Mae Holton Earnest, age 97, of 4327 Stone Mountain St., Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008. Mrs. Earnest was born in Grady County, Georgia on May 20, 1910. She was the daughter of the late John Emory Holton and the late Mary Mozelle Cliett Holton. Mrs. Earnest was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Earnest; two sons, William Henry Earnest and Willie Frank Earnest; two sisters, Eunice Perry and Lector Holton; and two brothers, Council Holton and Cecil Holton. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ima Jean and Jimmy Temples of Auburndale, Florida and Rouzelle and Lowell Sanders of Tallapoosa; one son, Cecil Emory Earnest of Tallapoosa; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Calvary Assembly of God in Brinson, Georgia with Rev. Joey Sanders, Rev. Jimmy Temples, Rev. Curtis Earnest and Rev. Ros Parker officiating. Music will be rendered by David Sanders, Jonathan Sanders, Pam Sanders and Jessica Sanders. Interment will follow in the Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Roscoe Parker, Josh Parker, Zeke Parker, Robert Barrett, Wesley Punkosdy and Jerry Temples. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Roger Perry, Larice Earnest, Dockey Earnest, Don Newborn, Walter Maxwell and David Cliett. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
