Mr. William Ricky Benefield, age 59, of Buchanan passed away Monday, January 4, 2016.  Mr. Benefield was born in Polk County, Georgia on October 5, 1956.  He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was also a millwright with Millwright Union Local 1263.

Survivors include his wife, Kathrine Garrett Benefield of Buchanan; one daughter, Logan Malone of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Heather Benefield of Rockmart; three step-sons, Terry Garrett of Carrollton, Jamie Malone and Bobby Malone both of Buchanan; parents, Billy and Annette Benefield of Buchanan; one sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Randy Barkwell of Buchanan; one brother and sister-in-law, Jody and Joan Benefield of Buchanan; two grandchildren, Hailey Benefield and Reagan Benefield ;two step-grandchildren, T.J. Garrett and Krison Garrett; two step-great grandchildren, Baylon Cosley and Kristopher Cosley; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hulsey officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
