Obituary

Bishop William David Jackson, age 63, of 45 York Circle, Cedartown passed away Monday, November 12, 2007. Bishop Jackson was born in Haralson County on January 9, 1944. He was the son of the late William Marion Jackson and the late Lura Ellen Smith Jackson. Bishop Jackson was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a locksmith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hacker Jackson and a sister, Peggy Jackson Stapler. Survivors include one son, William Charles Jackson of Carbondale, PA; one sister, Lura Ann Jackson of Graham, AL; four brothers, Marion Daniel Jackson of Austin, TX, Thomas Edward Jackson of Cedartown, Larry Andrew Jackson of Cedartown and Richard Arnold Jackson of Ranburne, AL; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Graveside at the Bremen City Cemetery with Brother Mark Hanson and Brother Phillip Vines officiating. Interment will follow in the Bremen City Cemetery with military honors provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
