Mr. William Lawrence Carter, III, age 55, of 2373 Wingfoot Place, Decatur passed away Friday, July 24, 2009. Mr. Carter was born in Fulton County on February 2, 1954. He was the son of the late William Carter, Jr. and the late Rosa Mae Johnson Carter. Survivors include one son, William Carter, IV of Atlanta; one sister, Edith Whitaker of Decatur; one brother, Wayne Carter of Riverdale; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from the Antioch A.M.E. Church, 765 South Hairston Rd., Stone Mountain, GA with Rev. Stafford J. Wicker officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
