Mr. William "Mackey" McKinley Hurley, Jr., age 87, of The Villages, Florida passed away Monday, September 27, 2010. Mr. Hurley was born in Glen Cove, NY and moved to The Villages in 2004 from Port St. Lucie, FL. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Miami, FL. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed golfing, playing the clarinet and listening to Jazz and Big Band music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Gloria and Diane both of Marietta; and two nieces, Dinny and Debby both of Stuart, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Monday, October 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. from the Graveside at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery with Military Honors.
