Mr. William F. "Bill" Benefield, Jr., age 86 of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was born on December 1, 1933, in Cedartown to the late William F. Benefield, Sr. and the late Clara Mae Davis Benefield. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Martha "Annette" Benefield; son, William "Rickey" Benefield; and two sisters, Myra "Joyce" Cain and Gloria F. Witcher.

Mr. Benefield proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. He is a member of both Masonic Lodge #78 in Buchanan and Caledonia Masonic Lodge #121 in Cedartown. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a paint repairman.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Randy Barkwell of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Joan Benefield of Buchanan; one sister, Doris Strickland of Covington; one brother, James "Gary" Benefield of Bremen; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several other family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held.
