Mr. William Edgar "Billy Ed" Black, age 77, of 74 Eaves Dr., Temple (Draketown Community) passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009. Mr. Black was born in Haralson County on April 11, 1932. He was the son of the late William Edgar Black and the late Annie Mae Goldin.
Survivors include an aunt, Frances Black of Villa Rica; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from Draketown Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Weaver and Rev. Wendell Rush officiating. Music will be rendered by Sandra Goldin and Lee Bowman. Interment will follow in the Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Corley Goldin, Clay Hamil, Shane Shadrix, Courtney White, Keith Hitchcock, Mike Campbell, Ricky White and Ricky Goldin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: J.L. Gober, Red Bryant, Spot Johnson, Dwight Singleton, Donald Hamil, David Osborne John Eaves and Cecil Dewberry.
The remains will lie in state at the Church from Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
