Mr. William J.E. Bell, age 77, of Tallapoosa passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born in Heflin, Alabama on Saturday, July 13, 1940. Mr. Bell was the son of the late Robert and Lola Whitman Bell. Besides his parents, Mr. Bell is preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Nation Bell of Tallapoosa; one son and one daughter-in-law, William and Bessie Hilly of Tallapoosa; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Chris Tarpley of Tallapoosa and Amy Bell of Tallapoosa; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Judy Bell of Heflin, Alabama; one sister, Mildred Bell of Marietta; six grandchildren, Tricia O'Conner, Jennifer Hilly, Elijah Tarpley, Luke Tarpley, Ashley Somerson, Bridgett Hannah and Jamie Sexton; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hilly, Ian Hilly and Noah Sellers; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1P.M. from the Tallapoosa Church of God with Reverend Terrell McBrayer and Wayne Reddish officiating. Music will be rendered by Melaine Brown King and piano by Betty Tidwell. Interment will follow in Hinton Cemetery in Talking Rock, Georgia with the following serving as pallbearers; Jamie Sexton, Norman O'Conner, Scott Daniels, Raymond Nation, Chris Tarpley and William Hilly.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
