William Ronald Agan, age 75 of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Villa Rica on December 15, 1950, he was the son of the late William Artice Agan and the late Alma Fowler Agan. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Destiney Agan, his great-granddaughter, Katie Langford, and his brother, Jerry Agan.
An avid outdoorsman, Ronald enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent many hours in his garden, along with his children, growing some of the best vegetables around. Ronald was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed working with hands building just about anything. For years he worked as a carpenter and also found enjoyment in creating treasures for his family. His legacy will be remembered in the desk, china cabinet, mantels, cabinets, cradles, and school birdhouses he built. However, his passion was his family. Pop, as he was affectionately called, loved children and babies, especially his own. He was a devoted member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Whitesburg. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Clark Agan of Carrollton; his children and their spouses: Dawn & Eugene Bailey of Temple; Charles & Cathy Agan of Temple, Pamela & Russell Teal of Ranburne, and Misty Robertson of Temple; step-children: Cathy & Chuck Barnes of Carrollton, Skuter & Lorretta Keeler of Conyers, and Mark & Rhonda Keeler of Waco; and his grandchildren: Ashley & Benji Langford, Nick & Christi Bailey, Kayla & Josh Jones, Brooke & Alex Edwards, Whitney Agan, Samual Agan, Brian Teal, Shayla Robertson, Maddie Robertson, Aubrey Robertson, Jamie & Kim Willis, Josh Keeler, Jennifer Keeler, and Kevin & Marissa Keeler. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Ricky & Sheila Agan of Temple; and his precious great-grandchildren: Neveah Bailey, Peyton Bailey, Sawyer Bailey, Gavin Langford, Dylan Bailey, Gage Bailey, Abby Bailey, LilyAnna Jones, Kyryn Jones, Olivia Edwards, Drake Edwards, Hook Edwards, Shayla Robertson, Maddie Robertson, and Aubrey Robertson, Pason Willis, Holden Willis, and one baby girl due September 26.
Funeral services for Ronald Agan will be conducted Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Alvin Honeycutt officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitesburg with following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Nicholas Bailey, Dylan Bailey, Gage Bailey, Samual Agan, Brian Teal, and Josh Jones.
