Mr. Wiley Jack "Doc" Hanson, age 76 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 18, 2021,  surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 24, 1944 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Ivy Jack Hanson and Mary Raines Hanson.

Doc was a machinist by trade but also loved woodworking.  He earned the nickname "Doc" when it was found that he could solve problems and fix things.  Moving to Haralson county, he discovered the beautiful countryside and true friends.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Toni Hanson of Buchanan; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jeffrey Morgan of Temple; and grandson Justin Morgan.

The family is hosting a memorial service on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Dugdown Baptist Church with Brother Richard Brannon officiating.  They will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. Interment for Mr. Hanson will be  at 3:30 P.M. at New Harmony Baptist Church, 4952 Heardsville Road, Cumming, GA.
