Westley Franklin Harding, III, age 75 of Tallapoosa, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1948 to the late Wesley Franklin Harding, Jr. and the late Ruth Viola Garrison Harding. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a step daughter, Pamela Bounds and a grandson, Jeremy Halstead.

Westley proudly served in the United States Army from 1969 - 1971 where he completed a tour in Vietnam.  He also spent several years serving in the Army National Guard. During the years Westley lived in Las Vegas, he spent many enjoyable hours at the poker machines.  Fishing and metal detecting were his favorite outdoor hobbies while he was living in Michigan.  Westley also enjoyed hanging out with friends at Johnny's Bar in Tallapoosa, but he especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Christine and Jimmy Helton of North Carolina, Bonnie Harding of North Carolina and Kelly Pettit of Tallapoosa; step children, Jaime Suitts of California, Jennifer Halstead of California and Erica Kemerer of Michigan and Timmy Brixey of Michigan; brothers, Mike and Claudia Harding of North Carolina and Greg Harding; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with the family's wishes he was cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
