Wanda Joyce Whitlock

Wanda Joyce McMichael Whitlock, age 55 of Tallapoosa, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026.  Born in Narragansett, Massachusetts,  on September 21, 1970, she was the daughter of Brenda Coffey McMichael and the late Raymond Cecil McMichael.

A graduate of Temple High School, Joyce spent several years working in the bakery at Ingles where her love of baking was highlighted.  Recently she was employed with Wal-Mart working in their bakery.  Joyce loved to bake cakes and cook.  She was skilled at taking simple ingredients and creating many different recipes.  An avid outdoors woman, she enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.  Her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Breanna & Noah Merrill of San Antonia, Texas; her precious grandson, Ollie Merrill; her mother, Brenda McMichael of Bremen, and her brothers, Jerry McMichael and Jeff McMichael.

In keeping with her family's wishes, Joyce will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
