Mrs. Wanda Faye Smallwood Carroll, age 68, of 1012 Roy Brown Rd., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Mrs. Carroll was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on September 21, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Elmer P. Smallwood and the late Elizabeth Iamjane Walder Smallwood. Mrs. Carroll was a retired seamstress. Survivors include her husband, Herman P. Carroll of Buchanan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gary Smith of Hiram, Becky and Danny Reed of Buchanan and Linda and William Miller of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Darlene Carroll of Buchanan; one sister, Jean Saylor of Cedar Bluff, AL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer Ray and Jackie Smallwood of Cedar Bluff, AL and Arlis and Cheryl Smallwood of Newnan; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 19, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Felton Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Shoemaker and Rev. Donald Oswalt officiating. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
