Obituary

Mr. Wallace McGill Wilborn, age 90, of Snowdoun, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Southern Traditions Nursing Home in Buchanan, Georgia. A resident of Snowdoun his entire life, Mr. Wilborn was an active member of the Snowdoun United Methodist Church, Snowdoun Community Club, ADY Club of Pintlala, Exchange Club of Montgomery, Retired Men of Montgomery, and a volunteer at Baptist Medical Center South for 18 years. Mr. Wilborn worked for the State of Alabama for the last 18 years of his career and retired in 1990. Mr. Wilborn was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Adams Wilborn. He is survived by one daughter, Janet Wilborn Hummel and husband Norman Hummel of Cumming, Georgia, and one son, John Wallace Wilborn and wife Janie Wilborn of Bremen, Georgia, three granddaughters, one grandson, one great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law. Visitation will be at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery on Sunday, April 11, 2010, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Monday, April 12, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, US 331, Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Snowdoun United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Snowdoun United Methodist Church, 190 Snowdoun Chambers Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36105. Local arrangements by Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
