Mrs. Virginia "Jennie" Hurston Osborne, age 82, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. She was born on November 14, 1937 in Haralson County to the late Manor Hurston and the late Vassie Tolbert Hurston. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Clara Hurston and one brother, Jimmy Hurston.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra (Chip) Couch, Lagena (Daniel) Hill and Margie (Eddie) Seagraves; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Sarah (Royce) Martin; two brother and sisters-in-law, Dwight (Kathy) Hurston, Marion (Roxanne) Hurston; one sister-in-law, Nancy Hurston and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Chip Couch and Dr. Reverend Mason Bush officiating. Music will be rendered by Bernard Whitton, Tia Agan and Joshua Harrison. Interment will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joshua Harrison, Evan Peikon, Mitchell Hurston, Jeff Couch, Robert Watson, Doug Grizzard, Ricky Henson and Bobby Boalch. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathy Boykin, Katie Dickerson, Diane Duncan, Charee Minton, George Couch, Bennie Tolbert, Gerald Kirk, Barbara Bowen, Marlene Garner, "The Posse" Judy Watson, Kaye Cheatwood, Faye McIntyre, Frances Williams, Earlene Wright and Linda Cash.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening December 19, 2019 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Community Christian Council (CCC) P.O. Box 815 Tallapoosa, GA 30176.
