Mrs. Vickie Diane Mitchell Elrod, age 55, of Powder Springs passed away Friday, April 8, 2016.  Mrs. Elrod was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 22, 1960.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur Mitchell, Jr. and the late Barbara Jean Stephens Mitchell.  Mrs. Elrod was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, William Lawrence Elrod of Powder Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nicole and Howard Jennings of Buchanan, Brittany Smith and her fiancé Tyler Garrett of Villa Rica, and Laura Elrod of Pensacola, FL; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Brandon and Beth Harris of Hiram, Trey Smith of Powder Springs and David Elrod of Quantico, VA; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sheila and Raymond Ray of Woodland, AL and Pam Mooney of Douglasville; one brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Faye Woody of Villa Rica; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
