Ms. Verna Mae Bentley, age 73, of Carrollton passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. She was born in the Lowell Community on Tuesday, May 8, 1945. Ms. Bentley was the daughter of the late Roland Bentley and the late Bertha (Britt) Bentley Pope. Besides her parents, Ms. Bentley is preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert Bentley and Jerry Bentley and one sister, Mary Weldon.

Survivors include her son, Allen Huddleston of Carrollton; one brother, Roy C. Bentley of Carrollton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathy Eason of Carrollton and Shirley and Farron McKee of Temple; two grandchildren, Michael Huddleston, Jason Huddleston and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Ms. Bentley's wishes, she will be cremated.

The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 1P.M. from the Lowell Congregational Holiness Church in Carrollton with Brother Pete Collins and Pastor Charles Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Brenda Smith and Shirley Britt.
