Mr. Vennis Jayson Ferrell, Jr., age 51, of Buchanan passed away Monday, May 16, 2016.  Mr. Ferrell was born in Chattahoochee, Florida on September 23, 1964.  He was the son of the late Vennis Jayson Ferrell, Sr. and the late Myrtle Frances Reddish Ferrell.  Mr. Ferrell was a cabinetmaker.

Survivors include his wife, Vinnie Cole Ferrell of Buchanan; two step-daughters, Elizabeth and her husband Andrew Ballard of Buchanan and Vickie Gillion of Columbus; one step-son, Mitchell Gillion of Columbus; one sister, Annette and her husband Ricardo Herrera of Bristol, TN; one brother, Keith Ferrell of Appling, GA; eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wilson, Douglas Carden, Grace Carden, Victoria Mathis, Drew Mathis, Justin Mathis, Hope Carlile, Faith Carlile and Tyler Carden; two great grandchildren, Tanner Carden and Rylie Summerville; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Reddish officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M.
