Ms. Valerie Hudson McPherson, age 59, of Wedowee, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017.  Ms. McPherson was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on June 25, 1958.  She was the daughter of the late Thad Oliver Hudson and the late Cornelia Ward Hudson.  Ms. McPherson was a cabinet maker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vickie Hanson; and one brother, Van Hudson.

Survivors include one daughter, Sabrina McPherson of Wedowee, AL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Shane and Theresa McPherson of Fort Payne, AL, and Joshua Bryan and Kristy McPherson of Heflin, AL; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
