Mrs. Troylee Payton Brown, age 88, of 5345 Dallas Hwy., Buchanan passed away Friday, August 8, 2008. Mrs. Brown was born in Haralson County on January 5, 1920. She was the daughter of the late George A. Payton and the late Cordia Ayers Payton. Mrs. Brown was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Rudolph Brown; and three sisters, Mozelle Brannon, Valeria Weldon and Joy Faye Carroll. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gary Duke of Villa Rica; one son, Emmett Jack Brown of Buchanan; two grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Duke of Smyrna and Thomas Gary Duke of Dallas; two great grandchildren, Savannah May Duke of Dallas and Autumn Lee Duke of Dallas; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bennie Westmoreland officiating. Music will be rendered by Wanda Westmoreland. Interment will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Gary Duke, Ryan Duke, Tom Duke, Payton Carroll, Michael Carroll, Jerry Weldon, Larry Price and Jim Brown. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
