Mr. Travis L. Brown, age 73, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Mr. Brown was born in Haralson County on March 25, 1937. He was the son of the late James Horace Brown and the late Lonie Weldon Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired Quality Control Inspector. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Weaver and Ruby Worthy; and three brothers, V.W. Brown, Curtis Brown and Charles Brown. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sandy Brown of Bremen and Mark and Yvette Brown of Tallapoosa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Roy Lee Worthy of Buchanan and Frances and Howard Locklear of Buchanan;one brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Betty Brown of Carrollton; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Van Brown officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Byron Richards, Brad Richards, Allen Robertson, Donnie Worthy, Clint Owens and Matt Young. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
