Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Walter Bowling, age 78 of Tallapoosa, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in a local hospital.  He was born in Polk County, on March 9, 1944, to the late James and Moline Perry Bowling.  In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by his siblings: Juanita Robinson, Bobby Bowling, Jimmy Bowling, and Sammy Bowling.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchild and was an avid collector of just about anything.  Watching Braves baseball and NASCAR Racing were Tommy's favorite pastimes.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Gale Wade Bowling, Tallapoosa; his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tim Collins, Buchanan; sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Bowling, Tallapoosa; Stephen and April Bowling, Franklin; six grandchildren: Allen (Nicole) Collins, Matthew Collins, Shannon (Anthony) Cagle, Hannah (Caleb) Peardon, Brittany Bowling, and Tyler Bowling; and one precious great-grandchild, Maverick Scott Echols.

The family will host a memorial service for Tommy Bowling on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 3:00 PM from Steadman Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Robinson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
