Mrs. Theresa Dianne Morris Garner, age 67, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013. Mrs. Garner was born in Rockingham, North Carolina on April 28, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Hogue A. Morris and the late Juanita A. Jordan Morris. Mrs. Garner provided child care in her home for many children in this area for years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde H. Garner and one brother, Billy Morris.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Buffy and Darin Stites of Water Valley, MS; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Pam Garner of Tallapoosa; three sisters, Linda Pike of Bremen, Kay Smith of Tallapoosa and Gloria Pope of Buchanan; three brothers, Carroll Morris of Charlotte, NC, Ben Morris of Carrollton and Larry Morris of Waco; six grandchildren; Kevin Garner, Keri Garner, Shea Stites, Darin Stites, II, Anna Stites and Tristin Stites; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Kevin Garner, Adam Bush, Travis York, Ryan Pope, Dylan Pope and Ray Pike.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00.
