Mr. Theodore Ayers Newsum, age 67, of Douglasville passed away Monday, April 16, 2018.  Mr. Newsum was born in LaCanada, California, on September 17, 1950.  He was the son of the late James Newsum and the late Jean von der Linden Newsum.  Mr. Newsum was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and was a retired social worker.

Survivors include his wife, Marshagail Hauser of Douglasville; one son and daughter-in-law, Tyrone and Erica Newsum of Oxnard, CA; one sister, Barbara Noble of California; two grandchildren, Gage Newsum and Bella Newsum; and a number of other relatives.

The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date.

Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
