Terry Wayne " Lightening"  Shadrix, age 47 of Buchanan, passed away on July 30, 2020. He was born on September 26, 1972 in Carrollton to the late James Render Shadrix and Marcia Lambert Gore.

Survivors include his daughter, Madison Shadrix of Tallapoosa; mother, Marcia Lambert Gore; brothers, Kevin Gore of Buchanan, Chris Shadrix of Carrollton and Mark Gore of Buchanan; sister, Beth Taylor of Heflin, AL; nieces and nephews, Camryn Gore of Mt. Zion, Ashton Gore of Mt. Zion, Nick Finley of Temple, Erica Finley of Temple, Cierra Shadrix of Carrollton and Christen Shadrix of Carrollton; his significant other, Amiee Bowman of Buchanan and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 4:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stacy Hanson officiating and eulogies rendered by Erica Finely and Beth Taylor. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chris Shadrix, Kevin Gore, Mark Gore, Ricky Dryden, Dirk Cobb and Jay White.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.

During the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, we want to encourage everyone to stay safe and make the best decisions possible.  We ask that those that plan to attend the service, to maintain a safe distance between those from other households. The state is allowing 50 or less for services at this time. For those prefer to wear a mask and/other protective equipment, we highly encourage you to do so.
