Mrs. Tennga Maline McKibben Lawhorn, age 39, of 355 McKibben Rd., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Mrs. Lawhorn was born in Floyd County on December 13, 1969. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee McKibben, Sr. and Loretta Caylor McKibben of Buchanan. Mrs. Lawhorn was employed by The Kellogg Company in Lindale. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Lee McKibben, Jr. Survivors besides her mother include her husband, Howard Wise Lawhorn of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Angelica and Brian Pilgrim of Buchanan; two brothers, Timothy McKibben of Buchanan and Tracy Harris of Cedartown; one grandchild, Rodney Pilgrim; and a number of aunts, uncles and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Hanson and Rev. Wayne Richards officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Centre Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Trey Drummond, Richard "Scotter" Crawford, Wesley Dowda, Wayne Bell, Jimmy Hopkins and Daniel Christie. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hopkins, James Hopkins and employees of the The Kellogg Company. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
