Mrs. Tammy Johnson Bowker, age 53 of Buchanan passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 from an extended illness. Mrs. Bowker was born in Tallapoosa on Saturday, July 11th, 1959. She is preceded in death by her Mother Myra Jo Abercrombie Collins and Grandparents Vesta Wilkerson and J.P. Abercrombie.

Mrs. Tammy Bowker is survived by her husband Jeff Bowker of Buchanan;Her father Eugene McCrary; Two sons James Lee Johnson of Arkansas and Joshua Richard Johnson of Buchanan; Two daughters Cristy Michelle Johnson of Buchanan and Megan Alyssa Benallal of Buchanan; Six brothers Jeff McCrary of Buchanan, Michael McCrary of Douglasville, Jerry McCollum of Pennsylvania, Barry McCollum of Buchanan, Randy McCollum of Alabama, and David McCollum of Cartersville; Two sisters Tracie McCollum of Bremen and Debra Clefish of Douglasville; Four grandchildren Rashaad and Kierston Hindsman of Buchanan, Jaedyn Johnson of Bremen and Kevin Johnson of Buchanan; Thirty three nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives.

Mrs. Bowker worked in the Medical Field by serving as an LPN at Haralson Nursing and Rehab in Bremen. She also opened her home to a number of foster children throughout the years.

The family of Mrs. Bowker will hold a Memorial Service at 100 Depot Street in Buchanan on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10 A.M. Please feel free to leave your online condolences at the View/Sign Guest Book tab provided above.
