Talmadge "Tab" Franklin Wills, age 90 of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1933, to the late William Amos Wills and the late Ethel Carruth Wills. Tab is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Williams Wills; his sisters, Joetta Smith, Vera Hunt, Kathleen McCarty, Janelle King, and Betty Shettlesworth; and his brothers Leroy Wills and Hubert Wills.  He was a long time member of Tallapoosa East Baptist Church

Tab always liked to be busy.  He retired from trucking, took up farming, and worked for a short time for the City of Buchanan.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding, even riding in local parades.  Spending time with his family was his passion.  When the grands were younger, Pawpaw enjoyed camping trips to Coleman Lake in Talladega, where they took their horses and rode the trails.  In later years, Tab enjoyed riding the farm on his 4-wheeler with "Sugar" the dog.  And most mornings he could be found eating breakfast at the "Liar's Table" at Kimball's General Store.

Left to cherish his memories are his son and daughter-in-law. Mark and Tammy Wills of Buchanan; his granddaughters and their husbands who lovingly called him Pawpaw, Lacey and Jeremy Hix of Buchanan, and Hillary and Jamie Kirby of Temple; great-granddaughters, Rosalynn Lane, Madison Kirby, and Molly Hix.  Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services for Tab Wills will be conducted on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mason Bush and Rev. Dr. Allen Wilburn officiating. Music will be provided by Tim Hand and Jeffery Hulsey.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wade Williams, Kurt Johnson, Tommy Stringer, Jamie Kirby, Jeremy Hix, Mark Bush, Scott Wages, and Joey Shettleworth.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
