Susan Elaine Swann Kinney, age 66 of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in a local hospital.  She was born in Haralson County on January 20, 1957, to the late Mallie and Ernestine Carroll Swann. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ross Kinney; her son, Kevin Kinney; sisters, Debra Cash and Nancy Wade; and brothers, Jackie Swann and Danny Swann.

A favorite pastime of Susan's was listening to classic rock and country music, especially the songs she could dance to.  She also enjoyed playing word games on her phone and sending messages to her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her children, Courtney Summerville of Bremen and Brandon Kinney of Buchanan; her sister Shelby (Tim) Cohran of Buchanan; her brothers, Mark (Hope) Swann of Buchanan, Scott Swann of Buchanan, and Chris Swann of Tallapoosa.  She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Keaven Weatherspoon, Blakeleigh Summerville, Presleigh Summerville, and Khyleigh Summerville; a great grandchild, Walker Weatherspoon, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Susan Kinney will be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother Shane Wade officiating.  Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
