Mr. Steven Dwight Hudgens, age 53, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014.  Mr. Hudgens was born in Bremen, Georgia on October 13, 1960.  He was the son of the late Clinton D. Hudgens and Geraldine Ray Hudgens. Besides his parents Mr. Hudgens was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jimmy and Gertrude Ray and maternal grandparents Hamp and Nelly Hudgens (Bedford). Mr. Hudgens was a carpenter.

Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Ray Hudgens of Bremen; one daughter, Stephanie Benefield of Tallapoosa; one son, Brad Puckett of Buchanan; one step-daughter, Mandy Wade of Tallapoosa; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lawana and Dorman Hill of Buchanan, Kathy and Ricky Dobbs of Buchanan and Shay and Jason McCord of Bremen; companion, Annette Wade of Tallapoosa; twelve grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. W.A. Ivie, Rev. Allen Wilburn and Rev. Jason Hudgens officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
