Steven Ray Dutton, age 67 of Heflin, AL, formerly of Buchanan, GA, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, in a local hospital.  He was born January 11, 1955, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Bob Dutton and the late Mary Smith Dutton.  In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Dutton.  Being an avid sports fan, Steve especially loved the Atlanta Falcons and  NASCAR racing.  He was a coach for many years through the Haralson County Recreation Department and was also a game announcer.

His survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, David Dutton of Buchanan, and Josh and Rashel Dutton of Heflin; daughter, Dana Gipson of Piedmont, AL; his partner of ten years, Jill Fowler; sister, Sharon Carpenter of Atlanta; and brother Randall Dutton of Atlanta.  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Terry Gipson, Cheyenne Hulsey, Charlie Dutton, and Stephanie Dempsey; and 4 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
