Steven Mark Curry

Steven Mark Curry, age 68, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in a local hospital. Born on July 6, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the beloved son of the late J.C. Curry and Mayre Frances Ashley Curry, and cherished brother to his late sister, Pam Fletcher.

Mark dedicated much of his career to Southwire as a machine operator. A passionate sports fan, he found joy in following the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Tech football, and NASCAR. He was a devoted family man who treasured moments spent with loved ones, especially playing with his grandchildren. Known affectionately as the grill master, Mark also delighted in beach outings and fishing trips. His bright smile and loving personality will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Libby Curry of Buchanan; his children, Tia and Daniel Worthington of Villa Rica and Chris and Heather Curry of Buchanan. He was the proud grandfather to Adrienne and Jordan Edwards, Kamryn Sellers, Brooklyn Worthington, Olivia Worthington, Ethan Conner, Dylan (Kaci) Price, and Morgan Conner, and cherished great-grandfather to Maci Price. He is also survived by his brothers, Milton Curry, Lynn Curry, Robert Curry, and Scott Curry, along with several nephews, nieces, and friends.

Honoring his wishes, Steven will be cremated. The family will host a celebration of his life at a later date.
