Mr. Starling Junior Simpson, age 86, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014.  Mr. Simpson was born in Buchanan, Georgia on March 25, 1928.  He was the son of the late Starling Jake Simpson and the late Bula Burns Simpson.  Mr. Simpson was a retired construction worker.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Cason Simpson of Buchanan; two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara Summerville of Buchanan and Patricia and David Hubbard of Shannon; one son, Starling Simpson of Buchanan; three grandchildren, Robby Summerville, Jenifer Summerville and Cody and his wife, Lauren Hubbard; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Mason officiating.  Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
