Mrs. Sonja Louise Curry Fishburne, age 78, of Waco passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016.  Mrs. Fishburne was born in Rome, Georgia on January 25, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Curry.  Mrs. Fishburne was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Tesa Johnston.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Fishburne of Bremen; three daughters, Robi and her husband Tracy Mobley and Susie and her husband Bart Young all of Ranburne, AL and Becky and her husband Shane Brock of Carrollton; four sons, Johnny and his wife Karen Fishburne of Bainbridge, Walter Fishburne of Heflin, AL, Adam Fishburne of Waco and Joe and his wife Astonya Fishburne of Waco; four sisters, Rhonda Click and Judy Cobb both of Stone Mountain, Regina Cosby of Savannah and Renee' Dschida of Des Moines, IA; two brothers, Bobby and his wife Lori Curry of Memphis, TN and Donny and his wife Laurie Curry of Bartlett, TN; eighteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Covenant Life Church in Bremen with Pastor John Butler officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Warren Sarrell, Eric Blaskowski, Eric Weaver, Brock Young, Blake Young and Dylan Janney.

The family will receive friends at Covenant Life Church Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
