Mr. Sidney Rudolph Munroe, age 83, of Bremen passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014.  Mr. Munroe was born in Haralson County on March 31, 1931.  He was the son of the late Virgil Maurice Munroe and the late Carrie Brown Munroe.  Mr. Munroe was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from General Motors Lakewood Assembly Plant.  He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and also was a member of Douglasville Masonic Lodge #289 F.&A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Earline Bishop Munroe of Bremen; two daughters and one son-in-law, LaNay and Jimmy Edgeworth of Covington and Lynn Munroe of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Ginger Munroe of Buchanan; four grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Barfield and Rev. Jack Edwards officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Tom and Pat Barfield and Davey West.  Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Davey West, Keith Whitton, Gary Simpson, Jaycen Simpson, Joseph Simpson and Tony Loudermilk.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
