Mr. Sidney Martin Meeks, age 72, of Bremen passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. Mr. Meeks was born in Haralson County on March 1, 1940. He was the son of the late Vollie Lee Meeks and the late Gertrude Boyce Meeks. Mr. Meeks was retired from Hubbard Slacks. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ruth Smith Meeks; and two sisters, Estelle Hall and Dessa Lee Corley.

Survivors include one daughter, Valoria Meeks of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Sidney L. and Cindy Meeks of Carrollton; one sister, Agnes Cline of Bremen; two grandchildren, Chad Russell Meeks and Laci Rain Meeks; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bobby Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Phillip Carroll, Chad Meeks, Casey Arrington, Casey Craven, Greg Walker and Andy Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
