Shirley Ann Wade, age 85 of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2023, in a local hospital.  Born on August 25, 1937. in Haralson County, she was the only daughter of the late Jim Buck Wade and the late Pauline McAdams Wade.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Williams, a son-in-law, Roy King, and two brothers, Gerald Wade and Steve Wade.

Shirley enjoyed helping people and making them look their best.  After completing cosmetology school, she was a hair dresser for many years. Shirley was also skilled at crocheting and square dancing,  Square dancing on Friday and Saturday nights kept her active, but music was her passion.  She loved going to church and singing in the choir at Corinth Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member.  In later years when she could not remember the words to the Gospel songs, she would hum their melodies. However, her family was her most prized possession.  Shirley loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and son-in-law, Vicky and Michael Lewis and Kimberly King, all of Buchanan; her grandson Jonathan Duke and his wife Amy, and her great granddaughter, Hali Duke.  Also surviving are her brothers, Truman Wade and Max Wade, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Wade will be conducted Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 4:00 PM from Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. John Lemmings and Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Corinth Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jay Wade, Richard Wade, Scott Wrenn, Chad O'Neal, Johnny Roer, and David Lewis.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Billy McAdams, Chalmus McAdams, Van Worthy, Greg Redding and Gerald Redding.

The family will receive friends at Corinth Baptist Church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
