Sheila Merry Lake Rogers, age 73 of Waco, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025.  Born in Utica, New York, on March 8, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lake and the late Jane Lewis Lake.  In addition to her parents, Sheila is preceded in death by her brothers, Randolph Lake and Robert Lake.

Sheila enjoyed working in her flower garden, cultivating beautiful roses, hydrangeas, and even some delicious tomatoes.  She had an extensive book collection and enjoyed her quiet time reading.  However, Sheila's passion was her family, and she delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lisa (Brad Daniel) Edwards of Carrollton and Gretchen Rogers of south Georgia; her sons, Jimmie (Nickie) Rogers of Dahlonega, John Rogers of Waco, and Joe Rogers of Florida; and her precious grandchildren who affectionately called her MeMaw: Alex, Laci, Ashley, Zane, Korrie, Martie, Dalton, Jessie, Charlie, Shayanne, Timmy, and Trey.  Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Olivia, Drake, Julia Diana, Shae, Danny, Dalton, and Corbin; her sisters Richelle(Daniel) Collins and Arlinda Costa; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Sheila Rogers will be conducted on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
