Shannon Dain Kast, age 48 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024.  Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on May 20, 1976, he was the son of the late Michael Kast and the late Rose Shook Langston.

After completing high school, Shannon continued his education, completing his studies as a journeyman electrician.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed all water sports, especially kayaking.  Shannon was also skilled at working with wood and building things.  He was an all-around handyman on the farm.  But Shannon's passion was music, and he was an accomplished guitar player.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Hayley Faulkner Kast; his children, Alayna Kast and Damian Kast of Butler, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, Skye Lovering, Brendan Entrekin and Lucas Entrekin, all of Carrollton; his sister and brother-in-law, Heidi and Junior Reynolds of Leesburg, Georgia; and his brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Brandee Kast of Victoria, Texas.  Also surviving is his grandmother, Maxine Shook of Montgomery, Michigan, as well as a number of extended family and friends.

The celebration of life will be held on October 13th at 2:00 at The Legion in Montgomery, Michigan.
