Scott Kenneth Lankford, age 46 of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on March 2, 1975, in Nassawdox, VA, to June Annis Lankford and the late William Marvin Lankford.

Scott grew up in Virginia and lived for fishing, the eastern shore and BBQ's.  As much as he enjoyed all these, he dearly loved his family.  Scott was employed by RHC Contractors and was an expert electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Marie McDowell Lankford of Buchanan;  a precious daughter, Avery McKinnley Lankford of Buchanan; two great sons, Jacob Scott Lankford and Isaac Ryan Lankford both of Buchanan; his mother, June Annis Lankford;  a brother, William John Lankford of Bloxom, VA; a sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Thomas Pruitt of Bloxom; nieces, Cana Lankford, Rachal Lankford and Kara Beth Pruitt; nephews, J.T. Pruitt and Thomas Wayne Pruitt, and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Scott Lankford will be conducted on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 4:00 PM with Pastor Alvin Hutchens and Pastor Jon Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the service hour.

In keeping with Scott's wishes he will be cremated following the service.
