Mrs. Sarah Ruth Gillham Queen, age 82, of Cartersville passed away Monday, May 30, 2016.  Mrs. Queen was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 10, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late Leslie Gillham and the late Alice Lucile Wade Gillham.  Mrs. Queen was an accountant and was retired from Shaw Industries and H&R Block.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Queen.

Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary and Frank Perry of Saint Simons Island, Margaret Gillham of Fayetteville and Martha Smith of Bremen; one brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Linda Gillham of Douglasville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: David Gillham, Steve Gillham, Paul Gillham, Ian Gillham, Parker Gillham and Jonathan Gillham Stover.

The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, Cartersville.
