Mrs. Sandra Louise Deese Pollard, age 64, of Buchanan passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.  Mrs. Pollard was born in Haralson County, Georgia on March 14, 1952.  She was the daughter of the late Grady William Deese and the late Velma Louise Waldrop.  Mrs. Pollard worked in quality control at Custom Building Products.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Pollard of Buchanan; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Eggleston of Buchanan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin Lee and Amanda Pollard of Newborn and Edward and Tabitha Pollard of Buchanan; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rachel and Hoyt Allred of Fruithurst, AL and Hillary Perry of Buchanan; ten grandchildren, Christopher Tadman, Nicholas Tadman, Tyler Tadman, Samantha Eggleston, Wyatt Pollard, Tiffany Pollard, Janson Peek, Caitlin Peek, Adam Pollard and Andrew Pollard; 1 great grandchild, Grayson Chambers; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Dr. Mason Bush, Dr. W.A. Ivie and Rev. Richard Brannon officiating.  Music will be rendered by Christy Vines and Bernard Whitton.  Interment will follow in Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dennis Allred, Bobby Allred, Cory Sanders, Wyatt Pollard, Adam Pollard and Andrew Pollard.

Mrs. Pollard will lie in state at the Church Monday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
