Mrs. Sandra Pierce Bowling, age 79 of Tallapoosa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her residence.  Born on October 3, 1942,  in Carroll County, she was one of ten children of the late Earl and Flora Glenn Pierce.  Sandra graduated West Haralson High School where she was a star basketball player, leading her team to the state championship. She and her husband, Calvis, worked many years as restaurant owners. Sandra loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed playing golf.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of more than 60 years, Calvis Bowling of Tallapoosa; daughters, Melissa (Eddie Craft) Bowling of Tallapoosa, and Michelle Singleton of Buchanan; son Mark Bowling of Buchanan; and a sister Inez Wiggins of Bowdon.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Jonathan Bowling, Jeremy Singleton, A.P. Bowling, Mason Singleton, Allison Young, Samantha Jackson, Zannah Roth and Garrett Singleton; and beautiful great-grandchildren.

Keeping with Sandra's wishes, she will be cremated, and plans for a memorial will be announced later.
