Mr. Sammy Joe Venable, age 56. of 17 Laundry St., Tallapoosa passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. Mr. Venable was born in Carroll County on June 13, 1953. He was the son of the late Cecil Henry Venable and the late Burnize Elizabeth Ayers Venable. Mr. Venable was a master plumber. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Venable; one son, Joseph Shawn Venable; and one grandson, Jared Venable. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Heather Venable; two sisters, Linda Webb and Maxine Darnell; four brothers, Walter Hoyt Venable, Kenneth Venable, David Venable and Randy Venable; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour. The body was cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
