Obituary

Mrs. Sadie Ann Cash Simpson of Bremen passed away peacefully Friday, May 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on September 4, 1945, in Haralson County to the late Chester "Chet" Cash and the late Arretta Smith Cash. In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Larry Simpson, who passed away on September 10, 2020, her sister, Laura Jo Wright, and her brothers, D.W. Cash and Jim Cash.

Sadie was a woman of many artistic talents.  She was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting, a wonderful baker making beautiful specialty cakes, and an artist who loved to paint country scenes.  Following in her family's involvement in Freemasonry, Sadie was a member of the Order of the Rainbow Girls. On the political scene, Sadie was the first female to be elected and serve on the Haralson County Board of Education.  She also worked as the treasurer of Quality Services, an electrical contracting company.

Left to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses: Mickey & Rhonda Simpson, Jill and Byron Williams, and Tracy & Edward Liner, all of Bremen; her precious grandchildren: Brett & Taylor Smith, Brandi & Ryan Underwood, Benjamin Simpson, Kelsey Williams, Morgan Liner and Joseph Rush, and Kaitlin Hudgins. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Sadie's wishes, she will be cremated following a private family time.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the Simpson family.
