Mrs. Ruth Tinsley Smith, age 90, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Mrs. Smith was born in Ball Ground, Georgia on March 13, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Robert Tinsley and the late Ona Kelly Tinsley. Mrs. Smith was retired from Arrow Shirt Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Smith.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail and Tom Jones of Bremen, Sonya Shelton of Buchanan and Paula and Ronny Davis of Bremen; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Jill Steele and Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Britt Thomas, Ben Jones, Chris Hill, Roy Steele, Randy Rowell and Larry Davis.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
