Rubye Beddington Traylor, age 68 of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Martha Jane Stells Beddington.  In addition to her parents, Rubye is preceded in death by her husband, David Traylor; her daughter Rachel McClenton, her step-son, David I Traylor, and her brothers, Jerry Beddington and John Beddington.

Rubye had a caring and loving spirit as evidenced by her work for years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Douglasville Nursing & Rehab. She enjoyed spending time at Myrtle Beach and listening to country music.  She patiently spent hours working on puzzles.  However, her passion was her family and truly loved family gatherings.  She will be missed by all who loved her, especially her little fur-baby, Tiny, the chihuahua.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Linda & Joseph Bozeman of Douglasville, David & Vickie Westmoreland of Douglasville, Ann & Shane Cook of Douglasville, and Buffy & Michael Willis of Alabama; her sister, Martha Brooks; and her brothers, Joe Beddington and Richard Lee Beddington.  Rubye is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces nephews and extended family and friends.

A funeral service for Rubye Traylor will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating.  Interment will be conducted at 3:30 PM in the Sunrise Memorial  Gardens in Douglasville.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24th at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
