Ruby Lee Horton Heuer, age 93 of Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025.  Born in Carroll County on January 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Coy Horton and the late Naniel Venable Horton.  In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by two sons, Willard Lee Maxwell and Michael Dillard Maxwell; a grandson, Willard Lee Maxwell, Jr; her husband, Edward P. Heuer, and a brother Harold Horton.

Ruby spent many years as a hair dresser in the West Georgia area.  She was well-known for her excellent cooking skills, especially her dressing.  When she was able, she enjoyed working outside in her vegetable garden or planting flowers.  For many years Ruby taught Sunday School at Lee's Chapel.   Her guilty passion was Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme Pies.  Ruby was loved by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Lee Ann Musick of Bellbuckle, Tennessee; her son, Timothy Maxwell of Carrollton; her precious grandchildren: Daniel, Macie (Brandon), Jenna, Kera, Rebecca, Arlee, Dillard, Jamie, Mary Beth, and Brooke, as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with the family's wishes, Mrs. Heuer will be cremated.  The family will plan a celebration of her life at a later date.
