Roxie Poulson Rogers, age 87, formerly of Talladega, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born on September 3, 1933, in Birmingham, AL  Roxie followed in her mother's footsteps and became a nurse, working 20 plus years at Smyrna Hospital in Smyrna, GA.

Roxie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Reginald Rogers, also formerly of Talladega.  They were high school sweethearts and graduated Talladega High School in the class of 1950/1951.  She is also survived by four children:  Lea Ann (Joey) Salter of Pace, FL, Donald (Christine) Rogers of Dallas, GA; Pamela (David) Vance of Big Rock, TN; and Cathy Campbell of Carrollton, GA; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Roxie was cremated, per her wishes, and her ashes will be scattered at Cheaha Mountain as she had requested.  The family will receive extended family and friends at the Bemiston Baptist Church in Talladega on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
