Mr. Roosevelt Walter Schimmel, age 62, of Marietta passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013. Mr. Schimmel was born in Mainstockheim, Germany on June 7, 1951. He was the son of the late Roosevelt Thomas Schimmel and the late late Johanna Magadelena Nobel Schimmel. Mr. Schimmel was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in Quality Assurance at Lockheed.

Survivors include two daughters, Morgan Elizabeth Justice and Lauricia Shawn Clarke; two sons, Christopher Lee Schimmel and Luca Avery Schimmel; one sister, Lina Schimmel; five grandchildren, Ava Jade Justice, Derrick Viles, Christopher Sutcliffe, Molly-Anne Kirby and Michale Kirby; and a number of other relatives.

A gathering and memorial service will be conducted Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 3:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Red Sky Tapas.
